I know you NA purists will have your opinion, but how much torque is this RDX down (both in ft-lbs and the higher rpms it will take to get to the max) compared to the turbo?
Sure would have been nice to see a 2.0T DI from Honda with a proper 6AT or 7AT. I was a fan of the previous RDX and its potential should it have evolved. Remember that project RDX? This one seems like all the guts were taken out.

The K23A1 was good for
240hp @6000
260ftlb @4500
with a 5-sp auto
The J35 is quoted as having
273hp (this series peaks around 6k)
and if it is tuned similar to the old MDX A5, could produce 250ftlb as low as 3500, but worst case (so far) has been 240ftlb @ 4500
So the torque loss will probably be 10-15 ftlbs, but The plateau peak has a good chance of coming just as early, and in a 6sp auto
Honestly, I was never a fan of the K23, it seemed to be a bit of an under achiever

Torque is one thing, gearing is another, Honda has tended to go with high gearing, and programming that has pushed the car into a higher gear than optimum for performance on the V6.
