They are squeaky and dusty, just like the Panther+. They work fine at normal operating temps.

I meant AX6. It seems the XP8 needs some heat before it starts to brake.

The main difference is the heat range. If you're using the pads on the track, go with the XP8. They take 1 stop at most to get up to temp, but even that 1st stop is not a hair-raising experience.

I have only experienced the Hawk pads on our Civic Si project car. We burned thru a set at the track -- I want to say they were the HPS pads.

Pound for pound, I don't think you can do better than the Carbotech's.

Thanks very much for your info. I do plan on the Carbobech XP8. I wish more people carried this line.
