I think NOW is the time to take them, now is the time for Japan, China, South Korea and America in a joint effort to take the country down, go in and take down, kill every government and Military leader. Set up with South Korea to form a temporary government and turn the country into one country.........

I can't imagine the beaten down people of North Korea would resist freedom?????but I am not from that area or know much of the culture....... Are they so beaten that freedom or a South Koren economy would shock them and they couldn't live that kind of life???

How about you from that area......danielgr, WongKN.........

If something isn't done, it will continue as it is or worse for the nest 50 years..........Can the world really afford this KID to lead this country? They already shot off a missile.......

Geeezzzz! I am not a "neocon" I am concerned for the well being of Japan and South Korea..........since when is that a "neocon" action.

1st of all there are NO "LEADERS" in North Korea, just killers and REAL "neocon".........It's time the people are freed of their abuse..........the SON has NO MILITARY experience, he is a 4 star General in the Koren Military, a 4 star General with NO EXPERIENCE.........I am glad you feel safer under him then my idea........my idea of a possible freedom for all of Korea......Lets just let them suffer for another 50 years, lets just let them shoot weapons over at Japan and threat South Korea for another 50 years..........Have it your way.......

Let some crazy kid run the country who was brain washed by his KILLER of a father.......Yeah, that's right......

This I agree with you.
I hope my prediction comes true somewhat in next year or two or three.

Son is just too young to rule his country. He didn't have enough time to establish his power through his personal connections. So it's up to his father's inner surrogates to decide which direction they're going.
His father's royalists, of course, want to keep it going the same because the're in positionalready. But I'd guess those are old or getting really old. So it would be up to younger ones who don't really have power yet, and have seen their people are starving.

And they have no friend. China has gone capitalist long time ago and doing more business deals with the South Korea. The north Korean people are starving. The South really wants to help them, people. They are literaly they're relatives. So I think all the elements to wellcome the North to the South to re-unite are there.

But there are still some paranoid military heads who are afraid of eminent attacks from the South or Japa or the US. taking this opportunite time. As long as they have their fingers on the military trigger it would be war.

I hope they will come out to re-unite North and South peacefully, soon.

Nobody will sit down to talks, open the boarders for talks and surrender the north to the south for one united country..........It just won't happen. All those in power in the north have death under their hands and they will not face any UN Trials or anything. There is business as usual or take the country.........Our job would be an assist, not a take over. No western government would be placed, it would be an extension of South Korea, just like East and West Germany.........

West and East Germany was SHEER luck, we instilled FEAR, Peace through Strength........Our country isn't respected, feared or looked upon like that any more, PLUS, we don't have Leaders such as Margret Thacher, Pope John Paul who were INSTRUMENTAL behind the scenes along with REAGAN up front as the POWER HOUSE......and Russia was willing to listen.....their people were drooling for freedom and to have that Cold War weight lifted off their back........

If this can be done with talks, I am all for it, but who will bring those talks to light, who will set the rules, who will make sure it all works, and if they tell us to fuck off.......then what is our next move...........??????

I believe nobody will ask because they already know what the answer is and they don't want to publicly deal with the answer......

Why they're gonna attack Japan or the South? He may try some military skirmish with Japan or the South to prove he is strong.. But they don't have it to fight all out war against anybody except their nukes(one or two).

My argument is this. As you said the Son is too young to be the one, yet. His father's goon squad are fighting for their own survivals.
I think, I hope that there are not power stragles going on between the Son and other possible dictators. But rather, I think, I hope they're between the unifiers and the son. Because they don't have any other choice but to unify with the South for their people to survive.

You REALLY think they want to unify with the South,,,,,,,???? That would be nice, GREAT, but not reality. That is what I am saying, Japan, China, South Korea......Isn't that what I said, OK, I didn't say that exactly, but that for sure would be a better choice, but there is no way it would get done with out us being involved.........And do you see their Military wanting to end the starvation of their people?????

It would be a a few hundred billion or so, in the long run from what the North is costing us per year right now, it would end up being a savings........we could remove troops from the South and Japan and the savings there would make up for any cost a shoprt undertaking of taking out the communist government.

North Korea is not theocracy, though the son was born in the heaven.
North Korea doesn't influence any country in the region. No Iman to issue a fatwa. No jihad.

I used to share your thoughts ezshift5.

I still appreciate and applaud the valour and sacrifice of so many brave people who fought war. On both sides.

My old belief was that the 'good guys' (that's us) needed to go into battle to protect the world. To protect freedom.

Then started wondering about war. And developing greater understanding of freedom.

What would the world have looked like had wars not been fought? My conclusion: freer, more peaceful and people taking greater responsibility.

In the last two years I've learned about funding of the so-called 'great' wars of the twentieth century. That was one clincher.

Having fought 'battles' in corporate life I learned that fighting is not the way. There is a stronger, more powerful way.

Have you considered the alternatives?

Has any of our Presidents EVER starved, killed, raped, slaughtered families just because they could in America, to his own people, and have we done it to other people with JUST cause.........

There are tens of thousands of Native Americans that would like to give you a History lesson. What I saw during my time in Pine Ridge was as bad as anything I saw in any third world nation I have visited.

Running fascists out of town sounds great and all, but it is still fascist.

HONDA AFVM thank you for your comment.

Just a few years ago I shared your thoughts.

Then I learned about the realities of American foreign policy and what drives it. It's not Americans.

I've lived in America. Travelled through all 50 states. Love Americans and your beautiful countryside. Married to a beautiful American. Our kids are dual citizens: they're Americans and Australians.

In recent years I've come to despise your 'government'—of both parties, Democrats and GOP.
(There's no fundamental difference).

jsell is aware of just how much damage American interference has done in so many nations around the world.

Fortunately, I do not hate America because I know it's not Americans doing the damage. It is the forces driving American policy.

Genuine, honest American politicians like Ron Paul have been saying this openly for years.

If he were to become President you may start to realise how much damage the Republicans and Democrats have done to the world, to your nation and to Americans.

Until then I invite you to discover for yourself what has been happening to your beautiful nation at the hands of your 'government'. You may then understand why American policy is detested in many nations around the world.

By the way, in case it need be said, I am not a supporter of North Korea. Nor of any nation that wants to inflict despotism on its people and/or other nations.

I have simply realised at last that war creates more war. The way to peace is by being peaceful. It takes greater strength and creates real strength.

War is the easy way out. And does not being peace.

The way to peace is to return to fundamentals of what creates peace:
- rule of law **
- free exchange **
- secure property rights *
- honest money **
- small government (and small taxes) **

** means this does not exist in America
* means I think this does not exist in America yet have not researched it sufficiently to argue it. Some Americans are fighting to restore secure private property rights so presumably it does not exist.

Recently, America's President gave an order to execute an American citizen using a drone aircraft—without trial. The man was executed.

Execution without trial happened in America.

A way of ensuring peace is to ensure first that government has to ask the people for permission to go to war. And permission to levy the funds to fight a war.

Americans have unconsciously lost the control over their government. That is why all five items listed above are no longer in existence in the USA.

Americans are tools of the war machine. Your 'government' no longer serves you. You are slaves to it.

A little hint to a fundamental that I only learned recently as it applies to government: if you remove responsibility from a 16 year-old kid, give him access to endless funds without accountability and allow him to spend what he wants without accountability, do you think he will develop responsibility? No way.

Yet that is exactly what the American people have allowed their government to do. Have a look at the origins of your income tax system and the source of government funds. American government is loose without financial accountability and at the expense of Americans, to the huge detriment of Americans.

War traps people in debt. Especially under the privately owned central bank such as America's. Debt is the goal.

You rightly often discuss the 15 trillion dollar black hole in America's finances. How do you think your 'government' created that black hole and saddled Americans to it? Answer that and you'll answer most of the questions about war. And you'll stop advocating war to take out loonies like unelected North Korean despots.

First, do something about the unelected loonies running your nation.

I still love and admire Americans. I yearn for them to awaken and restore real and free government in America.

Malcolm
