= Camaro/Mustang V6 Killer!!!
2012 6MT is about 3410 lbs... Lets say 2013 would do 3350... with 315 hp that is less than 11 lb/hp... Around 10.6 lb/hp...
That is a reasonable SI stuff.

It may intrest some but others may think it's too much power for a FWD vehicle.
I'm thinking IF hp is even increased at all, it won't be more the 5 ponies. I wouldn't be surprised if some models actually lost a few hp.

The Mustang V6 with the Performance Package has sport tires, a beefed up suspension and tower brace, and a 3.31 rear end. I've seen skid pad ratings of .95 and .96 for this car. The Accord will never be able to touch that...nor would I expect it to be able to touch it. The Mustang V6 is an impressive car and especially so considering it that it used to just be for high school girls and mall brats.
As a former Accord Coupe owner, the beauty was its solid feel along with reasonable performance. It is a Touring car and in my opinion a pretty good one. They are just two different cars for two different tastes.

Ahh. But it'll be FWD only when cruising.
In enthusiastic driving it'll be SH-AWD with electric motors on the rear to enhance the turn in and ultimate performance.
This motor that is slated to replace the old J Motor is also interesting.
I dunno. I like what I'm hearing so far. Very much looking forward to the January 9th show.

The op didn't mention SH-AWD, unless I missed it. With that added though, it sounds like a good recipe for an Acura coupe.

.......no comprede, amigo: after test drive, my take on the 2011 Mustang V-6 6M was crude, clumsy, tacky and overpriced. I was real polite to the sales guy (I really felt for him).
Driving home provided a substantial revalidation of the $23.4 GenVII 6M coupe - - - at least for this sailor..........

no hate to the accord ...it is apples to oranges..it's a v6 mustang = muscle car/pseudo sports car.....how was the acceleration, engine sound, & driving performance compared to the 'cord? IMO The V6 mustang seems hotter than the planned NSX..oh my bad, wrong thread!

Do a Google search of mustang driveshaft failure at 135mph. This will tell you all you need to know about this car.

as awesome as that combo sounds... as long as its FWD it'll never be a 'mustang/camaro' killer... a great car it would theoretically be... but lets not kid ourselves... sporty car... not sports car.
